GETTING AROUND PAROS

You can get around the island by car, scooter or taxi. Uber is not available and taxis generally
need to be pre-booked. Renting a car is best if you have luggage you need to transport across multiple accommodation options. Scooter rental is inexpensive and a quick and easy way to get around the island. There are always taxis at the ports and airports so you don't have to worry about renting a vehicle as soon as you arrive. Your accommodation will also help to book a taxi when needed.

You can rent a car through booking.com or below are the few international and local options. If you’re not comfortable with manual transmission make sure you request an automatic! Please note that a deposit of around 300 - 500 euro is usually required. Also make sure to ask about full insurance if you are wanting.

SCOOTER RENTAL
You can usually book a scooter near the port, but to be safe it is best to reserve one prior. It is usually best to ask your accommodation hosts for scooter company recommendations, they are normally quite helpful. This way you can also send over a picture of your license to confirm what bike you are able to rent if you are unsure.

Please check your license for the type of scooter you can rent. For scooters and motorbikes up to 125cc, Greek law requires an EU driver's license A1 or a motorcycle driver's license for non-EU countries. For vehicles over 125cc, an EU A or A2 license and a full motorcycle license are required for drivers from countries outside the EU.
